Rectangular Chandelier – This is useful if you want to put a pendant light, much less if you want to install a ceiling lamp (fixed against the ceiling). The first step, dismantle the existing luminaire. Of course, think before cutting off electricity: leave the light on, go to the electrical panel, switch the circuit breaker of the light circuit in question and check that the light is off.
By recovering the hook, you will see that it is screwed into the electric box: it is a special electrical box arrival. We need a solid support on which to fix the ceiling. You could drill holes in the ceiling right next to the electric rectangular chandelier. Now that you have the central screw, you can drill the wooden support. Be careful in the center: otherwise, your support will not fit in the box! I advise you to drill a second hole the width of the screw head on 2mm, this will prevent the screw protrudes.
To avoid any electrical risk, I added an insulating jacket drop (kept when I stripped an extension cord). It will be enough to slip the sheath on the upper part of the screw once engaged in the piece of wood. Before fixing the rectangular chandelier, check that the assembly holds well by pulling a little on it. Finally, I told you that it works for any type of ceiling lamp: the proof with this different model.
