Remove the old seat sugar cane by gently pushing the seat from the oversized bean bag chairs frame. Use pliers to remove the spline from the original seat. Clean the old seat with excess glue, nail or nub with hot soapy water and a soft cloth, using pliers if necessary. Measure and cut the rewoven sugar cane material 2 inches longer than the seat opening. Blow the blanket in hot water for 30 to 45 minutes, preferably in a bathtub. Shake off excess water from sugar cane and place it on a towel for five minutes.

Place sugar cane loosely over the seat allowing 2-inch excess to hang over the edge. Put sugar cane in the seat slot by gently placing a wooden wedge in the groove and putting the cap.
